Now Supporting Panopto External Scheduling!

We’ve always prided ourselves on our extensive integration with Panopto, and now, we’re expanding that integration even further with the addition of full support for the Panopto Remote Recorder interface. This means that now you’ll be able to control and monitor everything about your Capturecast deployment right from the same Panopto interface you use to manage your recordings.

Right from the Panopto website, you can choose exactly which video devices you want to use in any capture performed on any one of your Capturecast recorder, then schedule upcoming VOD and livestream events separately or simultaneously – or just run an ad hoc capture. Once you’ve got everything all your recorders linked, Panopto will also keep you notified of the status of every single one of your recorder devices – letting you know if there is silence detected on your audio input, and also allowing you to preview the video input all all your devices at once

To summarize, right from the Panopto interface you already use, you can:

  • Choose which video devices you would like to be captured
  • Schedule Upcoming VOD Recording and/or Livestream Sessions
  • Ensure recorders are communicating with Panopto
  • Ensure recorders are receiving video and audio signals

In addition, if a scheduled event is coming up soon, and Panopto detects that it cannot communicate with a recorder, it will send you an email notifying you of the problem so you can make sure it’s corrected before the session was scheduled to start.

In short, integrating with the remote recorder system allows us to ensure that Panopto and Capturecast are working together to ensure all your captures happen without a hitch, while also limiting the number of different interfaces that your capture administrators have to interact with, decreasing the risk of failure, while increasing overall operator satisfaction.

There are quite a few ways you can implement Capturecast into your Panopto workflow, whether you’re broadcasting in a corporate studio, at home, or directly from a classroom in a simple or advanced configuration.

If you’re interested in seeing a full demo of Capturecast’s integration with Panopto, or would like more information about any of our products, schedule a demo with us through our website, or send us an email at – we look forward to hearing from you!
